For me, motherhood is first of all about feelings, responsibility and unconditional attachment. It is not just a biological function - it is a very deep experience which transforms not only a woman who became a mother but also the world around. Motherhood is, first of all, responsibility, I would say, the highest form of it. One should be ready and understand how serious it is. Motherhood is when you are ready to sacrifice almost everything you have for a new life. Your time, habits, rhythm of life, career, health and so on. The main idea is to understand that it is not the end, but the beginning. The beginning of a new stage in life full of tenderness, care and infinite love. Motherhood is a journey to self-discovery. Every day brings you new lessons: you learn to be patient, humble, restraint, and in some times you get disappointed. You learn to understand your own feelings, think ahead, plan every step, read the child's mood and their general well-being like a scanner. Accept your baby as they are, for they are individuals and personalities even when they are little. Find balance between your own desires and desires of your child. Motherhood is being not only a teacher, but also a student. Children are the ones who teach us appreciate and enjoy simple things. This childhood spontaneity, curiosity and pure love often fade into the background as we grow up, and we learn it all over again from our young teachers. Motherhood is a challenge and a joy at the same time. Nobody would ever tell you the recipe for a perfect way how to raise your child, for every child is unique. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, they bring experience and personal growth for both mother and child. The most important is love and understanding. Thus, motherhood is the whole philosophy connected with love, acceptance, responsibility and beauty of every moment. This is the way that fills my life with meaning and happiness.
